2007-2008 Recognition Awards

The Recognition Awards for projects carried out by schools in order to promote an appreciation of books and reading are continuing through 2007-2008, for a third year.

These prizes are intended to acknowledge the steps that young people and schools have taken to help young people develop reading tastes and habits, and thereby contribute to student success.

Each of Québec’s regional offices awards prizes for the most innovative projects with the most durable impact.

Other prizes are awarded at the provincial level, based on submissions made by the regional offices. These provincial prizes are intended to highlight the contributions of exceptional projects and to ensure that their influence is felt throughout the Québec school system.

To be eligible for this year’s awards, projects must have been carried out between September 1, 2007, and the end of June 2008. Each regional office will set its own timetable.

The plethora of innovative projects submitted within the context of this measure will continue to grow thanks to those being presented.
