Bernard Matte

An economist by training, Mr. Matte began his career in the public service with the Commission de la construction du Québec. Over the past 20 years, he has held a variety of administrative positions including Deputy Minister, Ministere de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale (MESS), after having served as Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for Emploi Québec within the MESS, where he has worked since 1998. In his capacity as General Secretary of the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail, a post he has occupied since 2009, Mr. Matte has acquired a solid knowledge of human resources development over the course of his career.
