Over the last few years, the development of the concept of culture in schools has led to the establishment of cultural committees within school boards. Aware of the fundamental role that these committees can play in ensuring the integration of the cultural dimension in schools, the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS) supports the establishment and operation of such committees.
This document provides information and a form for school board cultural committees to apply for financial support to establish a committee or operate an existing one. Only applications using this form will be accepted. Please note that the form is now completed and sent by the person responsible for the file at each school board.
The maximum amount of financial support is $3500 for a cultural committee that already has a cultural policy and $1500 for a committee that will be created during the 2013-2014 school year.
