During Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs from February 3 to 9 this year, let’s take a moment to express our gratitude to Québec’s teachers, who deserve to be recognized for their essential contribution to society. For they are the ones who impart to our young people the knowledge they need to increase their potential and develop their competencies.
All of us have had a teacher who left a positive stamp on our days in school and, sometimes, even on our lives. Through their teaching methods, philosophy, dynamism, originality and devotion, these professionals were positive influences on our path through school and shaped a facet of our personality. So let’s take advantage of Teacher Appreciation Week to pay tribute to the women and men who inspired us.
In Québec, we're proud of our teachers! Together, let’s show them that we fully appreciate them for all that they do!
A Message From the Minister
Every day, Québec’s teachers carry a heavy responsibility. They transmit to our children that most precious of gifts, knowledge, which opens the way to growth and fulfillment, a better understanding of the world, good citizenship and the freedom to choose the life they dream of.
Teachers bring to this complex and exacting task all the rigour, passion and heart it demands. They deserve our admiration and our support.
Teacher Appreciation Week gives us a special opportunity to express our gratitude to these remarkable women and men who play a key role in the development of our children and our society.
And so I invite students, parents and the public to join with me in honouring our teachers during their special week. Let’s thank them for being pillars of knowledge, encouraging curiosity and building tomorrow.
